Funeral Services for Dr. Kirk Gastineau, D.O., 59, formerly of Clinton and now of Kalama, Washington will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the First Christian Church, officiated by Doyle Kinney and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Glenn Kirk Gastineau was born October 31, 1956 to Glenn and Sue Carol (Walton) Gastineau in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kirk was raised in Clinton, Oklahoma where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1974. He was a member of the Clinton Marching Band and Concert Band. He was an honor roll member; a member of the Math and Science Club and was active in Scouting. Kirk attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) where he received his bachelor's degrees in Chemistry, Biology and Pharmacy. While he attended SWOSU he served as Biology Club President, he was a member of the Pharmacy Association, Chemistry Club, President's Honor Roll, Dean's Honor Roll, Beta, Beta, Beta Fraternity, and the Wesley Foundation, served with the Young Republicans. He was accepted to the Medical School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his medical degree. He was a member of the American Osteopathic Association. He was married to Kim Gerner June 12, 1982 in Broken Arrow, OK and they made their home in Clinton and raised their family. He was employed with Salisbury Pharmacy while attending SWOSU. He then began his medical practice, the Clinton Family Care Clinic. He later went into private practice while in Clinton. He also practice at the Clinton Veterans Center and the Clinton Indian Hospital. In 2005 he moved to Montana and worked for the Indian Crow Agency. He most recently moved to Kalama, Washington and practiced with Kaiser Permanente Physicians and Surgeons in Longview, WA until his death. He was a member of the Catholic Church, he enjoyed photography, skiing and traveling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kim; grandparents, Carl and Lucille Walton and Gilbert Gastineau and Letha and Jay Slakey. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Gastineau and Libby McCaskill, Oklahoma City, OK; two sons, Stephen Gastineau and wife, Charla, Broken Arrow, OKC, OK and Kyle Gastineau, his parents, Glenn and Sue Carol Gastineau, Clinton, partner, Mario Viscarrett, Kalama Washington, two brothers, Mike Gastineau and wife, Marti, Ft. Worth, TX and Joe Gastineau and wife, Cheri Lou, Clinton. He is also survived by four grandchildren, C.J., Cole, Carter, and Cain, all of Broken Arrow, three Nephews, Alex Gastineau, Denver, Co, Tyler Gastineau, Ft. Worth, TX and Wesley Gastineu, Leveland, TX and three great-niece and nephews; Aunt Jeanette Uhles, Broken Arrow, cousins, Heather and Alan Bates, Broken Arrow Tulsa.
