Elizabeth Fern Hatfield

Funeral services for Arapaho native Elizabeth Homan Hatfield, 90, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, conducted by a friend, Rhoda Montecastro. Mrs. Hatfield died Friday, July 5, 2013, in the home of her daughter in Coalgate, after a lengthy illness. She was bom Feb. 17,1923 in Arapaho, the daughter of Rex and Bertha (Cox) Homan. She married Maylen Hatfield on April 11, 1939. They made their home in Arapaho for many years, then later moved to Cordell, then to Clinton. She moved to Coalgate to live with her daughter, Gerry, in November of 2011. She worked for 33 years and retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in 1985. Preceding her in death were her husband, Maylen; her parents, Rex and Bertha; twin sons, Larry and Gary; a grandson, Ross Hatfield; a brother Edward Homan; and two sisters, Almeda Karlin and Ethel Maloy. Survivors include two daughters, Gerry and her husband, Eddie, of Coalgate, and Linda and her husband, Greg, of Stroud; a son, Pete and his wife, Barbara, of Arapaho; grandchildren, Kyle Lynn Shepherd and her husband, Lyle, of Arapaho, Katherine Kreizenbeck and her husband, Kevin, of Arapaho, Jamie Fawn-Meade, Kristi Stewart, Jimmy Burgess, Becky Ford and Kent Watkins; nine great-grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Erin Shepherd, Dustin and CaraLea Kreizenbeck, Jarred Shepherd, Chelsea Glombowski, Darci and Johnny Wall, Arin and Elizabeth Burgess, Preston and Brooke Brown and Sopia Fawn Mead; and three great-great-grandchildren, Amy Jo and Dacy Shepherd and Hartley Kreizenbeck; and many nieces and nephews.
