Ellie Knabe

A Memorial Service for Ellie Knabe, 76, Clinton resident will be held 4:00 P.M., Friday, February 3, 2017 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Patrick Peters, minister of the Church of Christ and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ellie Mae (Howard) Knabe was born June 17, 1940 to Aubra Wilson Howard and Margaret (Gaither) Howard in Carey, TX and passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 in her Clinton resident. Ellie was raised in Childress, Texas and graduated from Childress High School in 1958. She continued her education at the WTAMU (Now Canyon University) Canyon, TX. She married Dwaine A. Knabe June 24, 1972 I Childress, TX and they made their home in Amarillo, TX until 1976. They moved to Clinton and she was substitute teacher in the Clinton School System for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and daughter, Linda. She was a member of the Church of Christ, she loved to crochet, read, and watch classic movies. She is survived by her two sons, Richard Knabe and wife, Christine, their children, Ryan, Devin, Caitlin and Robin, all of Whitewright, TX and Greg Knabe and his wife, Melissa and their son, Michael all of Clinton; two sisters, Scherry Sisco, Fort Worth TX, and Patricia Hernandez, Childress, TX.
