Funeral service for Elma Louise Kendrick, 91, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the First Church of God, 1900 Lexington, Clinton, Ok. Rev Roy Dobbs will be officiating and burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery, Clinton, Ok. Louise was born October 11, 1921 in Frankston, Texas to Henry and Lillie (Robinson) Bizzell. She died March 16, 2013 in the comfort of her home after battling colon cancer for a year and half. Louise grew up in Frankston, Texas and as a young adult worked in the shipyards in Orange, Texas where she met her husband, Dursey D.”Cowboy” Kendrick. They were married in 1946 in Carthage, Texas. After living in several locations Louise and Cowboy settled in Clinton, Oklahoma, where they had their three children. After the passing of her husband in 1957, Louise opened the ‘Buzy Bee Cafe’ in 1960. Louise owned and operated the Buzy Bee Café for 17 years and then worked at the Clinton Regional Hospital for ten years before retiring. Later she made pies and special lunch features for Café Clinton for another ten years finally retiring in 2005, at the age of 84. She is survived by 2 daughters: Jerry B. and husband, Wayne Osborne of Missouri and Barbara and husband, Doug Bunch of Clinton, one son, Donald Kendrick of Clinton, one sister, Anna B. Smith of Texas, one brother, Johnny Bizzell of Texas, one niece, Jeannie and Don Johns of Midwest City, grandchildren: Ricky and Shirley Kendrick of Colorado, Kavin and Debbie Kendrick of OKC, D’etta and Joe Ashley of Colorado, Brandi Carman of Moore, Terra Romano Perez of Mexico, Misti and John Lehman of Texas, Jarrett and Emily Bunch of OKC, Shanna and Keaton Aucutt of Colorado, Stormy and David Swinson of Arkansas, Kendra and Michael Miller, Greg Osborne of Missouri and Amy Osborne of Missouri. Great Grandchildren: Nicole Kendrick, Tearney Ashley, Logan Carman, Raven Ashley, Zoe Lehman, Mackenzi Lehman, Berkley Bunch, Kade Aucutt, Tennyson Aucutt. Johnathan Kendrick, Jennifer Smith, Russell Kendrick, Timothy Kendrick, Michael Kendrick, Kira Kendrick, Jayden Kendrick, Dylan Kendrick, Alex Miller, Madison Miller, Haley Winning and Connor Winning. Great Great Grandchildren: Nalani Kendrick-Fierro and Kiana Kendrick-Fierro. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dursey D. “Cowboy” Kendrick, her parents, Henry and Lillie Bizzell, two brothers: Ray and Roy Bizzell, one sister, Bernice Louise Pate, two-step sons, Everett and William D. Kendrick and one grandson, Harry Wayne Kendrick.
