A Graveside Service for Elmeda Bell Elder, 92, Lubbock, TX resident will be held 11:00 Monday, March 7, 2016 in the Prairie Bell Cemetery, six miles West of Putnam, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Elmeda Bell (Watts) Elder was the second of eight children born to Annie Mae (Hart) Watts and Richard Albert Watts. She was born in Somerton, Arizona on September 25, 1923. She died in Lubbock, Texas on March 3, 2016. She is survived by Two brothers: Garland Gene (Pete) Watts of Pampa, Texas, and Kenneth Dale Watts of Hardin, Texas. One sister: Monta Faye (Watts) Boyd of Pampa Texas. Her four children: Jessie Ann Elder of Lubbock, Texas, Joseph Warren Elder and wife Carol of Oklahoma City, Lloyd Albert Elder of Oklahoma City, and Lowell Ray Elder and wife Dianne of Lubbock, Texas, Six grandchildren: Vicki (Elder) Garner of Lake Dallas, Texas, Christi (Elder) Herbert of Wichita, Kansas, John Elder of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Rachel (Elder) Kamler of Edmond, Oklahoma, Ben Elder of Amarillo, Texas and Katie (Elder) Crump of Lubbock, Texas Four Great Grandchildren: Nathan Michael Crump, Elena Rae Crump, Warren Jay Elder, and Elizabeth Nicole Hewett. She is also survived by a special niece Carol Rae (Watts) Looney of Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Lloyd Elder, Siblings: Julian Weldon Watts, Edwin Watts, Richard Albert Watts, and Virginia Dell (Watts) Patterson. Elmeda and her younger brother were born in Arizona when their father worked on irrigation projects of the lower Colorado River around Yuma, Arizona. The family returned to Childress, Texas after a few years and Elmeda graduated from high school at Kelton, Texas. She moved to Oklahoma City after high school to work at the airplane manufacturing facility which is now Tinker AFB. She married Warren Lloyd Elder on February 14, 1948. She was a long-time member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Viewing will be at the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home 1:0-0 till 8:00 P.M., Sunday, March 6, 2016.
