Funeral Services for Erma Mowles, 79, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in the Westside Pentecostal Church, officiated by Rev. Bobby Stewart and Rev. Jerry Wilkins. Burial will conclude in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Erma Lee Mowles was born December 19, 1939 to Jewel Eaton and Ethel (Cavasos) Eaton in Leedey, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 in the Alliance Health in Clinton following a 6 year battle with cancer. Erma was raised in Leedey and graduated from Leedey High school in 1957. She married Joe Mowles December 22, 1958 in Wheatland, California. She and her husband lived in San Diego, CA, Long Beach, CA and Waukegan, IL while Joe was in the Navy. They moved back to Clinton where she worked for the Kellwood Factory for 3 years. They moved to Oklahoma City and she continued her education at the Oklahoma University and Oklahoma Christian College getting her education in Business Administration. She worked in the Oklahoma City area doing Credit Life Insurance for several companies for around 20 years. She received many awards including the most valuable employee for several years in a roll and she won an all expense paid trip to New York City. She retired and returned to Clinton in 1991 and Joe preceded her in death in 1997. She was a longtime member of the Westside Pentecostal Church, she loved to read, and do crafts, crochet, and work puzzles and cooking for the family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Step dad, Joe Mowles, son, Terry Mowles and daughter in law, Carrie Mowles, three great grandsons, Jason Berry, Joey Berry, Bradyn Eaton and step great grandson, Kevin Robb and two brothers, Jerry Eaton and Marvin Eaton. She is survived by two sons, Michael Mowles and wife, Lonna, Tuttle, OK and David Mowles and wife, Rhonda, Weatherford, OK; sister, Lavona Eaton, Clinton and two brothers, Adrain Eaton and wife, Connie, Clinton and Charles Eaton and wife, Betty, Hammon, OK. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Sherri Welch, Lori Ladd, Tama McDow, D'Lisa Pool, David Joe Mowles, Jr., Brad Mowles, Amanda Johnson and Ben Mowles and two step grandchildren, Bobby Robb and Rachel Robb; 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and eight step grandchildren.
