A Chapel service for Ervin Schenewolf, 85, Butler resident will be held 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney and under the direction of the Kiesau- Lee Funeral Home. Ervin Lee Schenewolf was born September 6, 1935 to Alfred Lee Schenewolf and Nina Marie (Lee) Schenewolf in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 in his Butler home. Ervin was raised west of Clinton and attended Clinton Schools. He soon joined the U.S, Navy and was stationed in Japan. He was married to Margaret Peggy Webster on November 27, 1959, in San Luis Obispo, CA. They stayed on California until his honorable discharged in November 15,1961. They moved back to Oklahoma and settled in Butler in 1966. He was a heavy equipment operator and machinist and had worked for numerous farmers and companies in Custer County, including Cornell Construction, Bob Smith and Western Equipment. He was a member of the National Rifle Association; he enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting, looking for and collecting arrowheads, reading and messing with his animals. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Dwaine Carl Schenewolf and a great grandson, Samuel Wade. He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Page and husband, Tony, Hammon, OK; two sons, Vernon Schenewolf and wife, Vickie, Canyon, TX, Martin Schenewolf and Melissa Bowen , Butler, OK; three sisters, Ruth Ann Wagnor, Clinton, Alfreda Wells and husband, Billy, Clinton and Virginia Jantz, of Missouri. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
