Esther Ellen Owens Graham

Memorial Services for Ester Ellen Owens Graham will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 10, 2017 in the Quail Springs United Methodist Church, 14617 N. Penn Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73134, officiated by Jen Logsdon-Kellogg. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, OK, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Esther Ellen (Thomas) Owens Graham was born October 26, 1931, in Woodward, OK to Joe L. and Mabel J. (Simmons) Thomas. She was welcomed into Jesus' arms November 5, 2017. Esther was raised in Woodward, where she also attended school. On February 24, 1949, she married Wayne Owens in Woodward where they also made their home. She worked at The Bank of Woodward in several positions, retired as the Vice President of Mortgage Loans on December 31, 1992 after 27 years of service. In August 2000, she and Wayne moved to Edmond, OK. Esther was a faithful member of the First Christian Church in Woodward and then of the Quail Springs United Methodist Church in Edmond. She enjoyed dancing, needle work, traveling, playing bridge, cooking (especially candy) and mostly she enjoyed family gatherings at the holidays. She was also a Whiz Kids volunteer, which she enjoyed very much. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Wayne Owens, her brothers, Charlie Thomas and Lester Thomas; and a sister Erma Faye O'Gorman. Esther is survived by her husband Brady Graham; daughters Judy McMurray, Edmond, OK and Janice Smith and husband Dennis, Clinton, OK; son Troy Owens and wife Cheryl, Chatsworth, GA. Esther is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Brad Garrett, Jason Garrett, Christy Klaassen, Lonnie Ford, Lance Smith, Cylie DeBray, Tim Owens, Anthony Owens, and Wade Owens. Esther is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Quail Springs United Methodist Church, Whiz Kids, project.
