Graveside Services for Ethel May-McCauley, 88, former Custer County resident will be held 2:00 P.M. in the Arapaho Cemetery, officiated by Doyle Kinney and burial will be under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ethel Pauline (May-Babione) McCauley was born July 2, 1925 to John Aldridge and Zola (Claypool) Aldridge in Sitka, KS and passed away early Tuesday morning in the Mercy Hospital in Watonga, OK. Ethel started her young life in Kansas but her mother passed away in her infancy. She was raised by the David and Pearl Babione family. She attended her school in Custer City and graduated in 1943. She was married to Billy G. May on in 1943. They made their first home in Butler and farmed. They moved to California in 1956 and farmed there until moving back to Oklahoma and settling in Clinton in 1960. She was the Clinton's Chamber of Commerce Secretary until about 1965. Mr. May preceded her in death in 1975 and she moved to Arizona to be close to her daughter. She was married to Mr. William McCauley on June 16, 1987 in Las Vegas, NV. They made their home in AZ until his death. She moved back to Oklahoma and has lived in the Geary Nursing home for the past two years. She is a member of the First Christian Church and has been a member of several civic clubs. She is preceded in death by her two husbands, her parents and her foster parents, three sisters and five brothers and her daughter, Alice Lindamood. She is survived by a son, Marvin May, Calumet, OK and two daughters, Lisa Hice, AR and LeAnn Hoff, Hinton, OK, four grandchildren, Ricky, Ryan, Dylan and Nicholas and one great-grandson, Greyson.
