He attended SWOSU and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1995. Butch passed away in Clinton, OK July 22, 2021. Butch was a jack of all trades. Throughout his life he built swimming pools, sold cars, and owned a detail shop and salvage yard in Arapaho. Butch also worked in the oil field in many facets, he eventually ended his career as a driller. His final career was to be the owner and operator of Power Transit out of Clinton. He drove patients to OKC and Tulsa for their doctor’s appointments and made a lot of friends during this time. Butch loved life and lived it to its fullest. He never met a stranger and he greeted everyone with a loud, “HOWDY!”. This usually brought a smile, and a lengthy conversation would take off. He always loved old cars and motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson softail. He was a collector of many things including cars, tools, toys, and lighters. He was the protector of the family and this role started early, with his baby brother Arthur. He looked after Arthur during the day while their parents were at work. His family also remembers him as a prankster. He loved to scare them as they turned a corner or walked by. He also enjoyed his time on the Illinois River several times a year. He always fired up the old smoker before hitting the river so they could have good eats when they returned to camp. He was such a good cook that sometimes they would return to camp and the food was stolen off the smoker. It was probably his best friends, Elgin and Linda Rhoads.
