Funeral Services for Freda Sue Heap-of-Birds, 65, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 10, 2015 in the Cheyenne Arapaho Community Building (West of Lucky Star Casino) officiated by Gerald Panana and Gerald Watson. Burial will conclude in the Colony Indian Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. A Traditional Indian Wake Service will be held 7:00 P.M. till 10:00 P.M., Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Cheyenne Arapaho Community Building in Clinton. Freda Sue Heap-of-Birds was born May 28 1950 to Augustine Tenorio and Lena Belle Gould Tenorio in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 in the Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton, OK. Freda was raised in Clinton and attended the Sequoyah Boarding School in Tahlequah, OK. She continued her education by attending Beauty College and working as a cosmetologist. She later attended the Police Academy in Eastern Oklahoma and worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She has worked for the Lucky Star Casino for the past several years in numerous departments. She was a member of the Indian Baptist Church in Weatherford, a member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma; she loved going to the casinos and playing Bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, Elaine Henry, Laura Curtis, and Martina Standing Water and a brother, Raymond Standingwater. She is survived by daughter, Margina Ternorio and son, Christopher Thunderbull, both of Clinton; two sisters, Brenda Riggs and Sammy Curtis, both of Clinton and two brothers, Alfred Tenorio, of Amarillo, TX and Gilbert Curtis, Sr., of Clinton; adopted sister, Debra Sam, of Clinton. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and one on the way.
