Freddie Joe Holden

Memorial Services for Freddie Holden, 83, Cordell resident and formerly of Clinton, will be held 10:00 Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Freddie Joe Holden was born April 1, 1940, to Howard Thomas Holden and Mabel (Sherbourn) in Clinton, OK and passed away Monday, April 3, 2023, in the Cordell Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

Freddie was raised in Clinton where he attended school and was a member of the 1958 graduating class. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Sue Williams on March 6, 1959, in Clinton. They have made their home in Clinton and various other places and most recently settled in Cordell.

He was a mechanic and welder working in numerous places. He also enjoyed farming and especially enjoyed the peacefulness of working in the fields and planting and watching the wheat mature.

He was a member of the Mennonite Church; he had a passion for collecting belt buckles and miniature tractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Thomas Howard Holden and grandson, Jacob Holden.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Holden, of the home, daughter, Nancey Holden and Ron DeJong, West Valley, City, Utah, two sons, Michael Holden and Elena Trujillo, Salt Lake City, Utah and Brian Holden and wife, Rhonda, Cordell, OK.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Dorris Aden and husband, Joshua, Las Vegas, NV, Elizabeth Oldham and Chris, South Jordan City, Utah, Matthew Brannies and wife Ashlee, of Washington, Dave and Brenda Holden, Caro, MI, Krystal Anderson and Greg, Lapeer, MI, James Holden and wife, Starla, Cordell and Fen Holden, Cordell, and nine great-grandchildren, Aria, Isabelle, Riley, Kylee, David, Olivia, Carter, Ollie, Gabriel.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, to please make a contribution to the Funeral Home to go towards Freddie’s Memorial.
