Funeral Services for George Bennett, 81, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 22, 2020 in the Edge Church, officiated by Elder Adrian Carr, Elder Mal Ray Carr, Billy Mucker and Allen Russell . Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. The family is requesting that you wear your mask at the funeral service and graveside service. George Edward Bennett was born December 24, 1938 to Lige Bennett and Texoma (Robinson) Bennett in Okmulgee, OK and passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK. George was raised and graduated from high school in Hoffman, OK. He married Ruth Jean Grimes October 7, 1962 in Clinton. They were blessed with five children, Billy Bennett, Demetrice Bryant Kemp, George Bennett, Jr., Audrey Bennett and Treva Bennett. He was employed several years with the Kellwood factory before its closing. He also own and operated the Clinton Domino Parlor and he worked at the Lucky Star Casino. He was a longtime and faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church, he loved to fish, play dominoes and deal poker. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son, George, Jr., several brothers and sisters, Callie, May, Viola, Mary, Mattie, Vertalee, Willie, Roosevelt, Elijah, and Luther. He is survived by three daughters, Demetrice Bryant and Gary Rogers, OKC, Audrey Bennett, and Treva Bennett, both of Tulsa; son, Billy Bennett, Sr. and wife, Stephanie, Wichita, KS. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
