Memorial Service for George Edgar Dinkle, 87, former New Mexico resident and now of Corn, Oklahoma will be held Saturday, 2:00 P.M. March 23, 2019 in the Berean Baptist Church in Albuquerque, NM, officiated by Pastor Tim Sandy and burial will follow in the Barton Cemetery in Edgewood, NM. George Edgar Dinkle was born August 29, 1931 to Herman and Etoyle (Jacobs) Dinkle in Herford, TX and passed Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma. George was raised in New Mexico and graduated from Stanley High School. He joined the United States Air Force April 18, 1951 and served a four year stint and was honorably discharged April 30, 1955. He married Cowena Price August 29, 1959 and they made Albuquerque, NM their home. He has been a contract painter by trade. He also ran the Family Ranch in Roy New Mexico. He made his home in Corn, OK in July of 2017. He was a longtime active and faithful member of the Berean Baptist Church while living in Albuquerque. He enjoyed collecting model cars, doing church work; he was quite the mechanic and enjoyed working on cars and doing anything with family members. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; two sons, Matthew Dinkle, Tommy Dinkle; sister, Juanita Sandy; two brothers Fred Dinkle and Dick Dinkle He is survived by a sister Wynnora Childers and husband, Keith, Las Vegas, NV and a sister in law, Ann van Horn Albuquerque, NM and a host of nieces and nephews. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the Berean Baptist Church, 3800 Eubank, NE. Albuquerque, NM 87111.
