Gerald Leon Waddle

A Visitation for Gerald Leon Waddle, 87, Clinton resident will be held 12:00 Noon till 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. He will be buried privately with family in the Clinton Cemetery on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Gerald Leon Waddle was born May 15, 1925 to Luther Gray Waddle and Edith Lenora (Canaday) Waddle in Vici, Oklahoma and passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton. He was raised in Vici and graduated from Vici High School in 1943. He was married to Virginia Doris Schroder on May 14, 1944 in Sharon, OK. He was employed with a survey crew and the Mobile Oil Company for a number of years where he traveled all over the state of Oklahoma. He moved to Clinton in 1961 and worked for Mahaney Brothers Auto Parts Store and later purchased part interest in the Machinist part. He retired in 1987. In his younger years he did leather tooling; he enjoyed hunting and fishing and he and his wife went on numerous fishing trips with L.T. and Wynona Madison for several years; he spent numerous hours building furniture with Fred Larson and doing woodworking and he and his wife traveled extensively all over the United States and abroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Richard Harlan Waddle, two brothers, Donald C. Waddle and James Wayne Waddle, sister, Glendean Wildman. He is survived by his wife of over 68 years, Virginia, of the home, son, Mike Waddle and wife, Deloris, Clinton, a grandson, Richard Dwayne Waddle, Clinton and three great- granddaughters, Asphen, Keilea and Destinee. He was also survived by very special friends, Johnny Elder, Arapaho, Larry Thomason, Clinton, Roy Lee and Virginia Thompson, of KY, Mark and Glaldiola Briney, Edmond and Wynona Madison, Clinton.
