Gerald Morrison

A Graveside service for Gerald "Jerry" Morrison, Jr., 70, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 9, 2013 in the Clinton Cemetery, officiated by Pat Peters and Ryan Driskill and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Gerald Thomas "Jerry" Morrison was born July 31, 1943 to Gerald T., Sr. and Mae (Fancher) Morrison in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away early Friday, September 6, 2013 in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. Jerry was raised in Clinton by his father and step mother, Adrienne (McCray) Morrison. He graduated from, Clinton High School in 1961. He continued his education at Harding University in Searcy, AR. He was married to Patricia Vawter in Norman, Oklahoma. He returned back to Clinton and was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone as a lineman. He later became co-owner of the Morrison‘s Tire and Oil Wholesale in Clinton until its Closing in the early 1990's. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and had served with the Army Reserve. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Adrienne and an infant sister, Bonnie. He is survived by a daughter, Dena Newhouse, and two sons, Jay Morrison and wife, Evette and Brad Morrison and wife, Angie and three grandchildren all of the OKC, OK area and his brother, Robert Morrison, Lawton, OK. He is also survived by Uncles Roy Morrison and Wife, Billie, and Leon and wife, Anita, all of Clinton
