Funeral Services for Gertrude Robertson, 86, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 28, 2019 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Jessie Musick. Burial will follow at a later in the Clinton Cemetery. Gertrude Mays Robertson was born March 15, 1933 to Andy and Artie (Laney) Mays in Huntington, West Virginia and passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 in the Alliance Health Clinton, OK. Gertrude was raised and attended school in Huntington, West Virginia. She married Jr. Atkins in Huntington. She moved to Oklahoma and where she worked as housekeeping in several local motels. She later married Lewis Robertson in 1961. She has been a resident of Clinton Therapy and Living Center for the past year. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, her coffee breaks and spent hour's bird watching. She was preceded in death by her parents, three children, Tessie Gail Adkins, Michael Adkins and Helen Bonnie Yvonne Steffes and a sister, Martha White. She is survived by a sister, Mary White, Oklahoma City, OK, Billie Jo Bower and husband Jime Huntington, West Virginia and Phyllis Mays and Buck Robinson, Stuart Draft, Virginia. She is also survived by five granddaughters, Donna Gail Spiller, Belton, TX, LaTonya Snead, Crimora, VA, LaKisha Steffes Palmer, Clinton, OLK, Rosa Flores, Clinton and TaShanda Flores, Clinton; great -grandchildren, Miranda Windham and Britney, Spiller, Jonathon Spiller, Belton, TX, Schyler Snead, Kaitlyn Snead, both of Virginia, JoceLynn Palmer, Blain Palmer, Jordan Amaya, Darius Southerland, Nae Nae Simmons and Tink Jones, all of Clinton; and 8 great-great grandchildren.
