Funeral Services for Ginger (Whittington) Smith, 43, Arapaho resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Wendell Folsolm and Rev. Alan Thompson and burial will conclude in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Ginger Dalene (Whittington) Smith was born November 1, 1970, the daughter of James Kyle Ray and Sandra Jo (Thompson) Ray, in Wichita, Kansas and passed away early Friday Morning, June 27, 2014 in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton. Ginger was raised in Arapaho where she graduated from High School in 1989.During her high school years she was active on the yearbook and annual staff. She had moved to Edgewater, OK and attended Cameron University in Lawton, OK. She graduated in 2003 with a Criminal Justice Degree. She worked for the U.S. Investigation Services as a Special Investigator. She was married to Nicky Smith, Jr. on January 29, 2009 in Dallas, TX. They made their home in Edgewater and later moved to Walters, OK. She was employed there at McDonalds, helped with newspaper delivery and worked for the Cotton County Sheriff's Office. They had moved back to Custer County and settled in Arapaho earlier this year. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Gloria Thompson. She enjoyed reading, dancing, coloring and her passion was her grandson. She is survived by her husband, Nicky, Jr, of Arapaho, a daughter, Abby Smith, two sons, Stoney Whittington and Bryan Cornier, all of the home, her parents, Kyle and Sandra Ray, Burns Flat, OK, Frank and Marla Reardon and Dale and Mary Kay Whittington, a sister, Vanessa Wohl and husband, Andrew, brother, Charlie Whittington, Thackerville, OK; and a step brother, Frank Reardon, Jr., and two step sisters Rachel Casey and Dadrian Russell, all of Arkansas. She is also survived by a grandson, Adrian Rosales, of Arapaho and her father and mother in law, Nicky and Judy Smith, of Arapaho, OK.
