Gladys Faye Salinas

Funeral services for Gladys Faye Salinas,62, an Elk City resident, are set for 10:00 am, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Church of the Nazarene Church, 816 West 6th Street, Elk City, Ok. Officiating will be Delford Whitecrow Sr., Paul Beartrack and Delford Whitecrow Jr. Burial will be in Fair Lawn Cemetery, Elk City. There will be a wake at the Indian Baptist Church of Elk City from 7:00 pm until 10:30 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013. Gladys was born on March 26, 1950 in Hammon, Oklahoma to Sidney Roman Nose and Edna (Swallow) Roman Nose. She passed away February 20, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was raised in Hammon and Elk City area. She has always had a compassionate heart and was always helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching Oklahoma University and Oklahoma Thunder basketball. Gladys is survived by two daughters: Stephanie Sevenstar of Oklahoma City and Pamela Salinas of Hennessy; two sons: Pete Salinas of Elk City and Rob Salinas of Houston, Texas; two sisters: Alberta Thunderbull of Elk City and Stella Roman Nose of Clinton; two brothers: Wayne Roman Nose of Raton, New Mexico and Martin Roman Nose of Elk City; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Edna Roman Nose; her husband, Robert Salinas; one daughter, Patricia Acosta; one grandson, Efren Jr. Acosta; four sisters and one brother.
