Glendora Walker

Funeral Services for Glendora Walker, 74, former Clinton area resident, will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 22, 2012 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by her son, Rev. Steve Walker and burial will conclude in the South Burns Cemetery near Dill City, OK. Glendora Faye Walker was November 23, 1937 to C.R. “Shorty” and Louetta (Morgan) Mitchell in Dill City, OK and passed away late Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in the Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. Glendora was raised and attended school in Cordell, OK. She was married to Raymond Walker on September 2, 1955 in Cordell. They made their homes in Oklahoma and later moved to TX. She attended Licensed Practical Nursing School and practiced in Hurst, TX as well as Dallas, TX. They moved to Enid, OK for several years and she and her husband were both Ordained Ministers and they moved their family to Covington, OK where they pastored the Miracle Revival Church. They settled back in Western Oklahoma and made their home in Foss Lake Estate where they were both active in the Butler First Baptist Church. Mr. Walker preceded her in January 2003 and she moved to Guthrie, OK. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Edward Mitchell. She is a member of the Church at The North Gate in Guthrie; she enjoyed fishing, doing arts and crafts and loved collecting, buying and reselling antiques and glass ware. She is survived by three sons, Richard Walker and companion, Daphne Tucker, Enid, Larry Walker, Enid and Stephen Walker and wife, Phyllis, Edmond, two sisters, Dolores White and husband, Robert, Foss Lake Estate and El Wanda Campbell, Burns Flat, OK. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Stephne Willis, Enid, Joshua Walker, Guthrie, Sabrena Walker, Enid, Sandie Walker, Enid, Matthew Walker, Guthrie and Daniel Walker, Edmond and seven great-grandchildren.
