Funeral Services for Glenn Douglas, 92, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 30, 2012 in the First United Methodist Church officiate by, Rev. Roland Youngberg and burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Orvis Glenn Douglas was born September 7, 1920 to Arthur L and Esther Jennie (Bowman) Douglas in Aledo, Oklahoma and passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 in the Angelwood Assisted Living Center. He was raised in Aledo, OK and attended school in Butler. He soon enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 22, 1942 serving in WWII in the 88th Infantry Division. He had received honors including three bronze stars for the major battles that he fought in. After receiving his honorable discharge on October 29, 1945 he returned to Custer County. He married Nadine Kincaid on November 18, 1945 in Clinton, Oklahoma where they have lived there entire married life. He was employed as an auto mechanic with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for many years as well as working for several car dealerships in the Clinton area. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Devert, Foy, Chester, and Mancil Douglas. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved to visit with family and friends He is survived by his wife of over 67 years , Nadine, of the home, two sons, Jerry Douglas and wife, Sheron, Clinton and Kelly Douglas and wife, Khris, Pawnee, OK. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family has suggested those wishing to give a memorial contribution may do so to the Shepherd Home Health Care and Hospice or to the Clinton’s First United Methodist Church.
