A Celebration of Life Service for Glenn Gastineau, 85, former Clinton Businessman will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 9, 2019 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Glenn M. Gastineau was born January 22, 1934 to Gilbert and Letha (Mercer) Gastineau in Vici, OK and passed away Monday, November 04, 2019 in the Clinton Veterans Center, Clinton, OK. Glenn was raised in Vici, Taloga and Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1952. He soon joined the U.S. Marine Corp where he played on the Marine Football Team. He served a stint in Japan before being Honorably Discharged and returning back to Custer County. He was married to Sue Carol Walton on November 6, 1953 while stationed in San Diego, CA. He continued his education at Southwestern State College and received a Bachelor Degree in Business. They made their first home in Clinton where he was employed with Collier and Walton Wholesale, he also made his home in Elk City where they owned and operated a Dairy Boy and then lived in Amarillo, TX. They settled back in Clinton in 1969 and he sold American Heritage Insurance for several years. He also owned the Tornado Car Wash and he refereed football, basketball and baseball all across the state. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; he loved sports and even coached his granddaughter, Emily’s soft ball team at one time. He was instrumental in getting Clinton girls softball at Clinton High School and help to coach them to state one year. He is preceded in death by his parents, son and daughter in law, Dr. Kirk and Kim Gastineau; sister, Nada; brothers, Bud, Gail and Arlen and his step-dad, Jay Slakey; brother in law, Charles Uhles and father and mother in law, Carl and Lucille Walton. He is survived by his wife, Sue Carol Gastineau, of the home, two sons, Mike Gastineau and wife Marti, Ft. Worth, TX and Joe Gastineau and wife Cheri Lou, Clinton and sister in law, Jeannette Uhles, Broken Arrow, OK . He is also survived by six grandchildren, Stephen Gastineau, Alex Gastineau, Emily Gastineau, Kyle Gastineau, Tyler Gastineau, Wesley Gastineau, nine great-grandchildren, Carli, Tommy, Jack, Slade, Lillyana, C.J., Cole, Carter, and Cain.
