Gregory Scott Klein

Gregory Scott "Greg" Klein, age 54, of Monett, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019. He was born August 31, 1964 in Clinton, Oklahoma the son of George G. and Melba M. (Baker) Klein. On January 19, 2014 he was united in marriage to Cathy Simpson, who survives. Also surviving are his father and step-mother, George and Wanda L. Klein of Wichita, Kansas; one son, Scott Klein of Purdy, Missouri; two step-children, Chance Barnes of West Plains, Missouri and Abby Halford and her husband Tyler of West Plains, Missouri; one brother, Ronnie Klein and his wife Teresa of Butler, Oklahoma; one sister, Teresa Chaloner and her husband Michael of Edmond, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Corbin and Canaan Halford. Preceding him in death was his mother, Melba in 2005. Greg graduated from high school in Butler, Oklahoma and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He then worked for Alltel in Oklahoma and in 1988 transferred to Southwest Missouri. Greg owned and operated an electrical company in Monett, known as Greg Klein Electric, and he also farmed raising cattle and chickens, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Some of his favorite pastimes were singing and playing his bass guitar! Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, April 14, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Purdy, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Bill Banks will conduct the services. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Butler, Oklahoma under direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Oklahoma. Reverend Sandy Shepherd will conduct the services. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Purdy, Missouri.
