A Memorial Service for Grover Lee Wilson, 77, lifelong Custer City resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the First Baptist Church of Custer City, officiated by Rev. Jim French. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Grover Lee Wilson was born June 27, 1938 to Tynneson Lee Wilson and Willie Pauline (Drake) Wilson and passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in his Custer City home. Grover was raised in Custer City and graduated from Custer City High School in 1957. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1958 and served until 1962 receiving his honorable discharge in 1962. He returned to Custer City and worked Farm Labor for several years. He also worked for Burlington Northern Frisco Railroad for about 9 years. He was married to Betty Lynn Roof on August 3, 1963 in Custer City and they made that their home their entire married life. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marie Schmitz, and three brothers, Floyd Wilson and Lawrence Wilson and Bob Wilson. He is a member of the First Baptist Church; he enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, camping, watching old Western's n Television and just spending time with family and friends, he was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and football. He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home, a son, Kelly Don Wilson and wife, Sharalyn, Byron, IL and a daughter, Rebecca Wilson of Fort Worth, TX, a sister Bonnie Wesel and husband, Bob, Moore, OK, a brother, Marvin Wilson, Concord, CA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Korey Wilson, Brock Wilson and Elizabeth Wilson.
