Funeral Services for Gwendolyn Merrill-Luckett, 82, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 13, 2015 in the Broadway Heights Baptist church, officiated by Rev. Truman Smith and Rev. George Knapp . Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Gwendolyn Marie (Pifer) Merrill-Luckett was born February 22, 1933 to Bus B. Pifer and Lucille (Handy) Pifer in Arapaho, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton, OK. Gwen was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School as Salutatorian of her 1951 graduating class. She was married to Bruce Merrill on December 24, 1951 in Clinton. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was later married to James Luckett in Clinton. He has also preceded her in death. In later years she worked for the Cherokee Trading Post and the Diet Center. She was a longtime member of the Broadway height Baptist Church, she enjoyed Traveling, southern gospel music and taking trail rides. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Kirk and Kyle and a granddaughter, Morgandee. She is survived by a son, Kent Merrill and his wife, Janice; a daughter in law, Rhonda McCathern and her husband, Farron, all of Clinton, brother in law, Jerry Merrill and his wife, Ovada Merrill, of Mustang. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Lance Merrill, Kalan Merrill, Brayden Merrill and Kim Weil; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt Weil, Wesley Weil, Lexa Merrill and Lil Merrill.
