Harriett Rae Mcclune

Funeral Services for Harriett McClune, 74. Clinton resident will be held, will be held Saturday, 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel. Burial will conclude in the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday September 23 from 6:00P.M. - 7:30P.M. Harriett Rae (Cannon) McClune was born May 24, 1942 to Cephas E. Cannon and Dorothy June (Meek) Cannon in Sunnyside, WA and passed away Friday September 16, 2016 in the United Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton, OK. Harriett was raised in South Texas and moved to Rocky, OK where she graduated from high school in 1960. She married Lee Franklin McClune in November of 1960 in Bessie, OK. She continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State College in Weatherford and received her elementary education degree in 1972. She had lived in Weatherford and taught school in Binger, OK before moving to Knoxville, Iowa where taught until she retired then returned to Oklahoma and settled Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Robert Cannon and Leland Cannon, niece, Laura Cannon and a brother in law, Ellis Cabaniss. She is a member of the Church of Christ; she enjoyed reading and playing bridge. She is survived by her three sons, James McClune, AZ, Grant McClune and wife, Erin, OR and Canon McClune, MO; a sister Florona Cabaniss, Clinton and nieces and nephews.
