Memorial Service for Helen LaRue Johnson 89, former Clinton resident, now of Smithville, MO will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 8, 2017 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Vann Leonard and burial will be in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Helen LaRue Johnson was born January 2, 1928 to Luther and Lillie (Harrell) in Oklahoma City and passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in the St. Luke Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Helen was raised in Oklahoma City, OK and she had made her homes in Oklahoma City and Clinton, OK and in 2000 she moved to Missouri to be close to family. She was married to Bob Johnson and he preceded her in death in 2002. She was a cosmetologist for several years in the Oklahoma City, area. She enjoyed cooking, doing for her family and was an avid reader. She is preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Cheryl Loving, a son, Mike Johnson and her parents, a granddaughter Kimberly LaRue Johnson, 2 sisters and a brother. She is survived by a son James Johnson, California, son in law, Walter Loving, Smithville, MO. She is also survived by 41 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.
