Helen M. Clark

A Funeral Service for Helen M. Clark, 93 of Clinton, has been set for 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the First Christian Church, with Doyle Kinney officiating, and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery. Helen was born December 12, 1922, in Portland Oregon to Charlie and Ethel (Arnett) Cromwell, and passed away, Sunday, January 24, 2016, at her home in Clinton. Helen was raised in Topeka, Kansas, and graduated high school there in 1940, she continued her education at Vanderbilt and Phillips Universities, and received her Bachelor's Degree in 1949. In 1950 she moved to Duncan Ok, and met William Clark, and married him on June 10, 1951, he preceded her in death in 2011. In 1961 she moved and made Clinton her home, and was employed as the First Child welfare worker in Oklahoma, she retired in 1984. Helen was a member of the First Christian Church, and the Christian Women's Fellowship, she loved to bird watch, and enjoyed going to the horse races. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 1 brother Bob Waller. She is survived by a daughter Melinda Clark, of Clinton, a son David Clark, of Weatherford, a cousin Bill Buttram, of Lake Tinkiller, and a granddaughter, Paige Romine and three great-grandsons, Reid and twins Ridge and Riker and numerous nieces and nephews.
