A Mass of Christian Burial for Hermina Klein, 94, Custer County resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 14, 2019 in the St.Mary's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Thomas Pudota. Burial will follow in the Anthon Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee. A Rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel. Hermina Klein was born June 1, 1924 to Otto and Anna (Schmalz) Huber in Independence, OK and passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 in the Corn Heritage Village Weatherford in Weatherford, OK. She was raised and attended school in the Independence and Custer City area. She started farming at a young age on her family farm. She married Clements Klein September 28, 1943 in Anthon, Oklahoma. They made their home in Anthon. They made their home in San Angelo, TX for a short time while Mr. Klein served a stint in the military. They came back to Oklahoma and settled back on the Klein family farm where they made it their home for sever their lifetime. The couple both had their own tractor and worked side by side for many years. She was a faithful member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. She loved to sew and often made clothes and sent them to Africa for the children; she liked to cook and dance. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and a brother, Paul Huber. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Ann Landrum and husband Butch, Weatherford, OK and a sister, Frances Goe and husband, Ben, OKC, OK. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
