Hershel Leon Hoffman

Graveside service for Leon Hoffman, 90, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 21, 2024, in the Clinton Cemetery, officiated by family and friends and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Hershel Leon Hoffman was born June 22, 1934, to Roy Hoffman and Beaulah (Kelly) Hoffman in Custer City, OK and passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the Corn Heritage Village in Corn, OK.

Leon was raised southwest of Clinton where he attended Square Top School and Stafford School before transferring to Clinton and graduating in 1954. He joined the U.S Army in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957.

He began a 35-year career with the telephone company in 1957 and retired in 1992. He was married to Peggy Jean McNeil on August 26, 1983, in Wheeler, TX.

He is a member of the First Baptist Church, he loved to travel, mess with his cattle and harvesting wheat.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Roy Hoffman, Charles Hoffman Billy Hoffman and Bobby Hoffman.

He is survived by son Lee Hoffman, Yukon, OK, daughter, Dawn Hoffman, Moore, OK, sister, Esta Mae Wedeking, of California and brother, Gary Hoffman, and wife, Linda, Clinton, OK and sister in law, Sharon Hoffman, Clinton, OK.
