Holland Sharp 1962 - 2018 Loving Husband, Father, and Son Funeral Services for Holland Sharp, 56, originally from Clinton, Oklahoma, will be held 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 10, 2018 in the First Baptist Church, officiated by Chris Fields and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home . Holland went home to be with the Lord August 8, 2018, at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City surrounded by family and friends. . He was born February 13, 1962, in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Suzanne Sharp and the late Lloyd Sharp. He was the oldest of 4 siblings. On December 21 of 1985, he married Annette Elaine Crawford (Sharp) from Ponca City. He walked the stage at Oklahoma State University as a History major in May of 1987. Afterward, he worked his way up to manager of the 2nd largest Leslie's Pool Supply store in the United States. After more than a decade of excellence and many promotions, he tired of the long hours of retail sales, and his interests rose to a higher field. He trained to be an airplane mechanic, and upon graduating with a license in airplane A&P, was hired by Gulfstream as a jet mechanic. An avid learner, he was soon promoted to train others in repairing and maintaining all 6 models of Gulfstream jets. He was hired away from Gulfstream by Flight Safety International, where people from all over the world would travel to Dallas to the classes he taught on repair and maintenance of Gulfstream Jets. At one time he was the only person in the world certified to teach on all 6 models of Gulf Stream Airplanes. He stopped working for Flight Safety in 2015 to pursue his dream of living in Hawaii. Alas, Hawaii was not to his liking, so he moved to Los Angeles in 2018. Holland loved traveling, snow skiing and scuba diving. In addition to his wife Annette, Holland is survived by son Holland II, his younger son Hunter (who both live in Los Angeles with Annette); his mother Suzanne of Butler, Ok; his brothers Kelly and Billy, both of Fort Worth, Tx; and his sister Christina of Elk City, Ok. Holland was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Sharp of Butler. His body was given as a gift to those who could benefit from it. Just as in life, his last act upon this Earth was in giving and service to others. He was cremated as per his request, and his ashes will be returned to his family.
