Funeral Services Irene Powers, 78, Custer City resident, will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 21, 2015 in the Custer City Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Greg Keith, Rev. Jerry Yoder, Rev. Brad Jones. Burial will conclude in the Custer City Masonic Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Irene Elizabeth Powers was born September 12, 1937 to Dave and Flossie (Barney) Metzler in Custer City, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in the Weatherford Corn Heritage Village. Irene was raised in Custer City where she graduated from high school in 1955. She married Curtis Powers May 5, 1956 in Custer City. They made their homes in Lawton, OK and Folsom, California and she worked as a receptionist in a Doctor's office for several years. The Powers retired in 1995 and moved to Custer City, OK. She is a member of the Custer City Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002, her parents, a son, David Powers and a sister LaVerne Breitling. She is survived by a son, Timothy Powers and wife, Terri, Custer City, OK and two sisters, Della Howard, Bethany, OK and Florence O'Hara, Custer City. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Amanda Childers and husband, Brian, of Hawaii, Carrie Powers, of Clinton, Josh Powers and wife, Katie and Jordan Powers, all of Arizona.
