James Barnard 69, former Butler resident passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at his home near Marlow, OK. James Everet Barnard was born March 27, 1953, to Bennie Jean (Snowder) Barnard and William Jack Barnard in Clinton, OK. James was raised in Butler, Oklahoma on the family farm and graduated from Butler High School with the class of 1971. He worked in the oilfield as a tool pusher and was “Pawpaw” to many young rough necks. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and enjoyed many road trips. He married Betty Yates, February 13, 1995. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, his brother, Johnnie Barnard and wife, Eva. He is survived by five sisters, Sue Ann Lawson and husband John, Ferndale, WA, Darla Cleveland and husband, Virgil, Doris Tipton and husband, Eddy, Bonnie Barnard, all of Elk City, OK and Brenda O’neal and husband, Art, Edmond, OK. James was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a special “Thank You” goes out to Reanna and Husband, Leo and Linda and husband, Jason for taking the time to care for their Uncle Jim.
