James Roe Burns

A Funeral for James Roe Burns Sr., age 58, of Arapaho will be 1:00 Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Cheyanne and Arapaho Community building, with Gerald Panana officiating, and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Traditional burial will follow in the Clinton Indian Cemetery, and a traditional all night wake will be Thursday night starting at 7:00 P.M. James was born in Clinton on July 2, 1961 to Edmond and Ida Burns (Yelloweagle), and passed away July 14, 2019 just north of Clinton. James was raised in Clinton, and attended school at Clinton, and Riverside. He worked for himself mowing yards and maintaining yards. He loved going to Casinos, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Three brothers Lloyd Ellis Jr., Edmond Burns Jr., Robert Burns, and a sister LaQuita Ellis Blackowl. He is survived by his daughter Eunice Burns of Arapaho, a son James Roe Burns Jr., three sisters Chiquita Ellis of Clinton, Roberta Burns of Lawton, Sharon Ellis of Clinton, two brothers Emerson Ellis Sr. of Clinton, John Burns of Clinton, and 7 grandchildren.
