James Rucks

Funeral Services for James Rucks, 64, Weatherford resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the Kiesau memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Weatherford under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. James Dale Rucks was born June 29, 1952 to Charles Walker Rucks and Viola Gertrude (Readnour) Rucks in Weatherford, OK and passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 in the Corn Heritage in Weatherford. Jim as he was known by family and friends was raised and attended school in Weatherford. He furthered his education and attended the Burns Flat Nursing School and achieved his Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. He has been in health care most of his adult life and had worked in numerous medical facilities including Oklahoma General Hospital in Clinton, Cordell Hospital, Integris Clinton, and the Veterans Center in Clinton as well as serving as Nursing Home Administrator of the Weatherford Nursing Home. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma University Football, The Thunder and in his spare time he enjoyed doing genealogy and traveling. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Marilyn Parrott and Pat Ellwood and his life partner, Carl Henry. He is survived by a brothers Charles Rucks and wife, Arvella, Weatherford three sisters, Doris Haff, Mandan, ND, Carolyn Kitchens, and Connie Cox, Weatherford both of Weatherford. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
