Funeral Services for Janice Ann Dyck, 74, Bessie resident will be held 2:0 P.M., Tuesday in the Peace Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Jerry Lamb. Burial will conclude in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Bessie under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Janice Ann Dyck was born June 30, 1943 to Henry D. and Marie (Funk) Duerksen in Goessel, Kansas and passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 in her rural Bessie home. Janice was raised in Newton, Kansas where she graduated from high school in 1961. She soon worked as a secretary at Gerdens's Trailer Factory as well as the Kansas State Bank in Newton. She married Donald E. Dyck on March 21, 1964 in Newton, Ks and they made their home in Bessie, OK. She worked a short time for Kiwash Electric and spent most of her time working for Peace Lutheran Church as secretary and church organist. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Deloise Ann Duerksen and Aldene Stucky. She has been a longtime and faithful member of the Peace Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Don, of the home, daughter, Shelley Bookout and husband, Mark, Dill City; brothers and sister, Monroe Duerksen and wife, Shirley, K.C., Kansas, Leona Arthurs and husband, Kenny, Red Feather, CO, Dillard Duerksen and wife, Roberta, Valley Center, KS and Jay Duerksen and wife, Karen, Wichita, KS; sister in law, Anna Marie Lewis and husband Charles, OKC, OK. She is also survived two grandsons, Billy Jake Bookout, Bessie, OK and Rusty Don Bookout, Dill City, OK and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
