Funeral Services for Jimmie Dale Hazzard, 74, Clinton resident and former Altus resident will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday September 21, 2018 in the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Altus, OK, officiated by Brother Boyd Whitehead. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Viewing will be held 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2018 and 9:00 A.M. till Noon, September 21, 2018 Friday in the Kincannon Funeral Home in Altus. Jimmie Dale Hazzard was born December 9, 1943 to Earl Hazzard and Lola (Ragland) Hazzard in Altus, Oklahoma and passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the Deaconess Hospital Oklahoma City, OK. Mr. Hazzard was raised in Altus where he attended and graduated from Lincoln High School. He worked for the Altus Compress; he had a Borden Milk route for over 15 years and retired from Bar-S Food after serving them for over 19 years. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1962 and served until 1965. He was married to Melba Jean Embrey on December 9, 1987 in Vernon, TX. They made their home in Altus and worshiped at the Emmanuel Baptist Church. They moved to Clinton in November of 2017. He was an avid Oklahoma University sports fan; he loved football, baseball and spent many hours weight lifting. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Carolyn Crawford and a brother Sonny Hazzard. He is survived by his wife, Melba, of the Clinton home, two sons, Jimmie Dale Hazzard, Jr. and wife Ramona, Altus, OK and James Hazzard, Lawton; daughter, Kellie Robinson and husband, Bobby, Altus; four step-sons, Cornelius Carruthers, Amarillo, TX. Allan Williams, Altus, Ronnie Williams and wife, Gina, Clinton and Kevin Karr and wife, Tresa, Clinton, step daughter, Felicia Mayberry, Amarillo, TX. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
