Jimmie Henderson

A Memorial Service for Jimmie Henderson, 84, Clinton resident will beheld 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 11, 2013 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney and burial will conclude at a later date. Jimmie Harold Henderson was born October 25, 1929 to Raymond L. “Skid” Henderson and Pearl Edith (Solf) Henderson in Helena, OK and passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Clinton Veterans Center in Clinton, OK. Mr. Henderson was raised in Enid, Oklahoma and graduated from Enid High School in 1947. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity and the R.O.T. C. Program. He was soon commissioned into the U.S. Air Force as a Captain. He was married to Nadine Williams in 1951 and he was stationed in Amarillo, TX where they made their home. He served and was honorably discharged in July 1953. He began a career with American Fidelity and was regional sales manager in Jackson, MI for seven years and Denver, Colorado for 15 years retiring in 1992. He was married to Wanda Spencer on October 12, 1973 in Dillon, Colorado. After his retirement the Henderson Family moved to Sun Lake, AZ so he could play golf year around and he did at least six times a week for several years. They moved back to Yukon, Oklahoma in 2002 and settled in Clinton in 2007. He has been a resident of the Clinton Veterans Center for the past 4 ½ years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Wanda of the home, three sons, Larry James Henderson, Houston, TX, Forrest Valentine and wife, Kathy, of Clinton and D. Kemp Valentine and wife, of San Francisco, CA, eight grandchildren, Paul Henderson, Crystal Henderson, Lucy Valentine, Gwen Valentine, Jessica Drees, Ryan Riveria, Jessica Littke, and Jennifer Littke; three great-grandchildren, Ada Marie, Scarlett and Dexter. He is also survived by Brothers in law, Mindle Spencer and wife, Maurine, of Yuma, AZ, Arnold Spencer and wife, Ada, of Butler, OK, Lewie Spencer and wife, Jo, of Cave Junction, OR, Don Spencer and wife, Linda, of Aurora, CO and, Royce Spencer and wife, Barbara of Huntsville, TX.
