Funeral Services for Jim Boling, 80, Edmond, former Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 27, 2017, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tracey Yates. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Jimmie Lee Boling was born on June 22, 1937, to Horace L and Vera Marie (Williams) Boling in Perkins, Oklahoma, and passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 in his Edmond home. He was raised in Perkins and Cushing, Oklahoma, graduating from Cushing High School in 1955. Jim married Carol Ann Hixon in December of 1955 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He started his working career in Cushing at Safeway Foods and later transferred to Clinton in 1962. Jim was a salesman for Yeager Wholesale and various other companies and completed his sales career with William E. Davis Company after many years. He along with his wife Carol later opened their first antique and refinishing store in Clinton. Jim was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, and he collected coins and guns; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his K-9 friend, Sunshine. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, two brothers, Cecil Ray "Sandy" Boling and C.A. Boling. Jim is survived by his daughters, Sabrina Sims, Edmond, Desiree Poore and husband Rhett, Clinton, and Ashlea Peacock, Edmond; by Special Friend, Sherry Nolan, Prague; sister, Ina Price and husband Bobby, Cushing; brothers in law, Kenneth Hixon and wife Marge, Cushing, and Jerry Hixon and wife Nancy, Broken Arrow. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Tyler Sims and wife Lindsey, Denver, CO, Tiffany Sims, Midwest City, Landry Howell, Bessie, Jentry Howell, Foss, Jake Peacock, Edmond, Abbie Peacock, Edmond, Taylor Peacock, Oklahoma City, and 6 great grandchildren, Gavin Campuzano, Midwest City, Ali, Zachary and Mackensie Sims, all of Denver, Co; Zoe Howell, Foss, and Bryson Peacock, Oklahoma City. The family has requested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Lung Disease or to the Charity of your choice.
