Jimmy Lee Davis

Funeral Services for Jimmy Lee Davis, Jr., 90, Clinton resident will be held 11:00 AM, April 20, 2024, in the Bethany Baptist Church, officiated by Brother B. Robert Mooreland. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery with military honors and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.


Jimmy Lee Davis, Jr. was born April 29, 1933, to Jimmy Lee Davis and Esther Mae (Walker) Davis in Clinton, OK and passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, in the Clinton Veterans Center.


Jimmy was raised in Clinton where he started school and he later moved and attended school in Clovis New Mexico. He worked for a short time before joining the U.S. Air Force in August 1952. He was stationed in California and upon his honorable discharge, he remained in California and worked first for the City of Los Angeles and later Los Angeles County. He retired and returned to his hometown of Clinton, OK in the 80’s.


He was a faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener and loved to work in his garden and raise pretty flowers and vegetables. He was a people person and loved to share with others. He was a caregiver to his good friend Clarice Crenshaw until her death.


He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara, and Joann.


He is survived by sister, Luella Davis, Las Angeles, CA and brother, Jackie Davis, San Diego, CA.


He never had children of his own but was loved by many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
