Funeral Services for Joan E. Fransen, 81, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 7, 2014 in the Kiesau memorial Chapel officiated by Doyle Kinney and burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Joan Elizabeth Fransen was born March 31, 1933 to John W. and Selma (Schmidt) Fransen in Weatherford, OK and passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 in her Clinton home. Joan was raised in the Corn and Clinton area. She attended and graduated from Clinton High School. She later made her home in Denver, CO where she worked for the City of Denver as a Secretary. The later moved to San Diego, CA and worked as a secretary for the City and retired. She moved back to Oklahoma and settled in Clinton. She was a member of the Methodist Faith and also enjoyed visiting the Koinonina Indian Mennonite Church east of Clinton. She enjoyed reading and watching television and working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Gail and a brother, Wilferd Fransen. She is survived by a brother, Gordon Fransen, of Lubbock, TX, Clinton relatives, Yvonne Carpenter, Terry Harms, Carol Fransen-Webb and Elaine Fransen, Georeta Jones and Yvonne Fransen all of Clinton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
