A graveside service has been set for longtime Clinton resident and businesswoman, JoAnn Robinson, 85, for 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in the Clinton Cemetery, with Rev. Buck Nicholson officiating and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. JoAnn was born October 11, 1932 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Darl and Era VanHooser, and passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 In Yukon, Oklahoma. She grew up in Holdenville and graduated from Holdenville High School in 1950. Following high school she attended and graduated from Oklahoma City Business College. She met and married Bill (Billy Joe) Robinson in Holdenville April 6, 1952. They moved to Clinton in 1956. Besides being mother of three children, the family owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Clinton from 1959 to 2007. She was a member of the Clinton First United Methodist Church, and Junior Service League, she was also a devoted businesswomen, a devoted mother to her children, and an avid quilter. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother Buster VanHooser. She is survived by one brother, Darl Gene (Skeeter) VanHooser of Canyon, TX., and her children, Mrs. Randy (Debbie) Bose of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Deck (Linda) Travis of Conway, AR., and Mike and his wife Gwen Robinson of Clinton, as well as four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
