Joella Denise Poauty

A viewing and visitation service will be held 1:00 pm till 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 7, 2023, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by family and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Joella Denise Poauty was born December 14, 1968, to Joe Alton Poauty and Martha Whitetail in Clinton, OK and passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Yukon, OK.

Joella was raised in Thomas, OK where she graduated from high school in 1986. She received her Certified Nurses Aid Certificate and worked in several nursing home facilities as well as working in food service.

She was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. She enjoyed going to the Casino, listening to Pow Wow Music and loved her dogs and cats.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents.

She is survived by her companion, Joe Yelloweagle, daughter, Shayla Cully, and two sons, Kylan Cully and Skylar Cully, all from Yukon, OK, sister, Danell Rivers, and Latisha Gibson and husband, Calvin, Oklahoma City, OK, brothers, J.W. Whitetail and wife, Keri, Guthrie, OK Perry Fraser and wife Ann, Weatherford, OK, and Mike Poauty, Lexington, OK.
