John H. Kinder

Funeral Services for John Kinder, 89, former Clinton Fire Chief, will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in the First Christina Church, officiated by Rev. Bobby Stewart, Chaplain Dan Day and Pastor Glen Pack. Burial will conclude in the Sappington Cemetery in Cowden, OK under the direction of the Kiesau- Lee Funeral Home. John H. Kinder was born May 30,1927 to Omer and Tina "Killer" Kinder near Cowden, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, June 30,2016 in the Alliance Health Clinic, Clinton, OK. John was raised in Washita County and attended Cowden Schools. He farmed about five years before moving to Clinton in 1952 and began a career driving a truck. He began serving the Clinton Fire Department retiring after 30years. He started another career with the Clinton Police Department as animal control for over 10 years. He farmed again from 1995 until 2007. He had three lovely ladies in his life, he married Willa Mae Miller on April 19,1947 in Cowden, OK and she passed away and he married Mildred Coynor on May 28,1988 in Clinton and she preceded him and he married Ruby Gayle Miller on April 5,2-13 in Altus, OK. He was also preceded in death by, a sister Alma Bennett, Two Brothers, Rudolph Kinder and Clarence Kinder. He loved woodworking, and taking care of his farm animals and especially loved Horses. He Is survived by his wife Ruby Gayle, of the home, two sons, Leon and wife Kathy, Clinton,Ok, Earl and wife Monica, Pampa,Texas; two sisters, Wanda Doenier, Yukon, Ok, and Marge Rothmeir, Clinton, Ok and two step daughters and a step son. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
