Funeral Services for John Paul Cornell, 27, of Clinton, will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Chris Fields and a private burial will be held in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. John Paul Cornell was born along with twin brother, John Michael on August 29, 1988 to John Cornell and Sandy (Hughes) Cornell in Oklahoma City, OK and John Paul died December 16, 2015 in Medellin, Columbia. He attended Clinton schools, graduating from Clinton High School in 2007. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended Oklahoma State University and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and later graduated from Hult International Business School in London, England in 2013. He attended a Spanish Immersion Program in Cuernavaca, Mexico in 2014. John Paul was a fun and caring person who had a great love for his family and friends. He was a master chess player, excellent at racquetball, enjoyed weightlifting, and loved his tattoos. John Paul had a deep love for animals and was always wanting to bring another dog home to his Mother. He enjoyed traveling and was always planning his next endeavor. John Paul had a unique ability to bring fun and laughter to any situation. John Paul is survived by his parents John and Sandy Cornell; his brothers (twin) John Michael of Miami, Florida; and John Lee and his wife Kelly of Clinton, Oklahoma; his Uncle Randy Hughes of Hammon, Oklahoma; his Aunt Angela Cornell of Houston, Texas and his Aunt Carol Waller of Tampa, Florida. Preceding him in death were grandparents John and Lu Cornell, maternal grandparents Twanna Sutton, and Bud Hughes and maternal great grandparents Lee and June Cutberth. Because of John Paul's love for animals the family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the Friends for Life, P.O. Box 1965, Weatherford, OK 73096.
