Obituary - John Randall Johnston On Monday, May 4, 2020, John Randall Johnston, loving father of four children, passed away at the age of 57. John was born on July 3, 1962 in Gainesville, Texas to Bo and Janice Johnston. He later moved with his family to Clinton, Oklahoma. He loved the red dirt, sunsets and getting to play on a state champion football team. John worked as a drilling fluids consultant for over thirty years in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Thailand. Following in his father’s footsteps, he started his career in the oilfield at the age of nineteen. John also had the opportunity to work with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Chickasaw Nation where he helped create venture capital projects in Oklahoma and South Dakota. John considered being a father to his four children, Taylor, Jacob, Dillon and Jonathan his greatest accomplishment. John was preceded in death by his father, Bo. He is survived by his four children, his mother, Janice, his brother Ron Johnston and wife, Samantha, his two nephews, Drew and Will and his Aunt Joyce McPherson and her husband Wayne, and many cousins, . A funeral service will be held Saturday, on May 9, 2020 at 11:00, at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, Under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, and with Deacon Bill Hough officiating. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to Oklahoma Medical Research for heart research. Registry for John Johnston
