Funeral Services for John Sevenstar, Sr., 81, Hammon resident will be held 12:00 Noon Monday, January 27, 2020 in the Hammon Indian Community Building officiated by Dolan Ivey. Burial will follow in the Hammon Indian Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. There will be an all night wake service Sunday, January 26, 2020 in the Community Building. John Randolph Sevenstar, Sr. was born February 11, 1938 to Ed Sevenstar and Lizzy (Dick) Sevenstar in Muldrow, Oklahoma and passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 in the St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. John was raised in Belford, OK and he married Lillian Scaby. He has been employed with the Roger Mills He was a member of the Cherokee Tribes of Oklahoma; he was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved going to the Casino. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jim Sevenstar, brother, Boone Sevenstar and a sister Marie Garnett. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, of the home, daughter, Janice Garcia, two sons, Ruben Wesley Sevenstar, El Reno, OK and John Sevenstar, Jr., Hommon, OK; five sisters, Sharron Sevenstar, Sallisaw, Lois Sevenstar, Stillwell, OK, Louise Sevenstar, Muldrow, OK, Lucille Sevenstar, Rolland, OK and Shirley Sevenstar, Clinton, OK and a brother, Eli Sevenstar, Clinton OK. She is also survived by several grandchildren.
