Funeral Services for John W. Grunert, 56, Quality Control Manager of Bar-S-Foods, will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in the Liberty Church in Weatherford, OK. Services will be officiated by Pastor Scott Page and a private burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. John WilliamGrunert born along with twin brother, James on January 26, 1957to William Louis Grunert and Helen Arlene (Vanjahnke) Grunertin Fort Dix, New Jersey and passed away, New Year's Day, January 1, 2014 in Kansas City, MO. John had traveled to Tennessee to see his sister that has been in failing health. He was on his way home and came through Kansas City to see a niece and becameill and had to have emergency heart surgery and passed away in the St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City. John's father was a career Air Force man and the family traveled extensively, he graduated from John W. North High School in Riverside, CA. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and spent 8 years in the Air Force Reserves. He moved to Clinton in 1997 where he has worked for Bar S Foods in the Quality Control. He was married to his fiancé of 21 years, Kimberly Ann Martin in December 07, 2006 in Arapaho. They have made their home in Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jacquie Abbott. He was an avid NAS Car fan and he never missed a Red Tornado Football game. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly. Of the home, five daughters, Darlene Lackey, of TX, Elizabeth Dare and husband, Ron, of CO, Candace Lemon and fiancé Troy Sikes, of Clinton, Kristina Duster and husband, Damon, of TX, and Cynthia Perez and husband, Moyses, of Clinton; twin brother, James Grunert, of CA five sisters, Cheryl Nyman and husband, Justin, of TN, Michelle LaPlanate and husband, Bob, of Burns flat, Bonnie Lamb, Burns Flat, Rhonda Silva and husband, Able, of CA and Darlene Morgan, of MO.
