Johnney Lee Steffes, Sr.

A Graveside Memorial Service for Johnney Lee Steffes, Sr., 70, of Clinton, Oklahoma will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 4, 2022, in the Clinton Cemetery officiated by Dean Brookshier and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Johnney Lee Steffes, Sr. was born August 20, 1951, to Leo Edward Steffes and Gertrude Bennett Land in Elk City, OK and passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022., in the Clinton Alliance Health Emergency Room. Johnney was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. He enlisted in the U.S. Army soon after high school. After returning home from the military, he was employed with Morrison Tire Shop for several years. He also worked for Steve Carter Trucking, as a driver and mechanic. He is preceded in death by his parents. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, telling jokes, just about any dog or cat that came his way and most of all building and driving race cars. He is survived by his daughter, Rachinda Gibbs and husband, Jason, Norman, OK; sons, Johnney Lee Steffes, Jr. and wife, Carla, Taylor, TX, Mitchell Steffes and wife, Cynthia, Norman, OK; sisters, Sally James and husband, Jimmie, Clinton, OK, Sharon James, Clinton, OK, Edwina Hurley, Tulsa, OK, Rhonda Williams and Mark Williams, Clinton, OK and Lisa Woody, Shawnee, OK; brothers, Clifford Steffes, Mickey Steffes, Gary Steffes and wife, Rita, all of Clinton, OK and Larry Steffes and wife, Dori, Staunton, VA. Johnney was also survived by many loved nieces and nephews, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and dear sweet friends and neighbors, Rose Wendt and Betty Starling of Clinton, Oklahoma.
