Funeral Services for Johnnie Sue Greeley,58, Hammon resident will be held Thursday, 12:00 Noon in the Hammon School Auditorium, officiated by Rev. Dolan Ivey and Mona Bearshield. Burial will follow in the Hammon Indian Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. A Traditional All Night Wake Service will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2019 in the Hammon Indian Community Building. Johnnie Sue Greeley was born May 17, 1961 in Clinton Oklahoma to Margie and Edwin Pewo and departed this life on October 31, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Johnnie attended Hammon Schools and graduated with the class of 1979. She was employed with the Hammon Schools from 1986 until her illness caused her to retire early in 2017. She married Clarence Greeley August 21, 1977. She was a member of the Indian Baptist Church and a strong believer in the Native American Church. Johnnie was blessed with numerous talents, she was a talented basketball player during her High School years, and she loved decorating, sewing, drawing and was very creative. She was blessed with the patience of beading, as she beaded many pairs of moccasins for her nieces, nephews and sold many for extra income. Johnnie enjoyed going to garage sales, thrift stores and auctions. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her family. Johnnie was preceded in death by her biological father Bennie Highwalker Sr., her father Edwin Pewo, a sister Evelyn Highwalker, two grandchildren Aubrey and Azalea Greeley, and a son-in-law Lonnell “Lucky” Shaw. She is survived by her husband Clarence of the home, two sons Lance & Cory Greeley; two daughters Angela Greeley-Shaw, and Carrie Greeley all of Hammon; four brothers, Benny Highwalker Jr., Tyrone Pewo, Kenneth Pewo, and a step brother Les Pewo, all of Hammon; four sisters, Virginia Pewo of Elk City, Kimberley Kauley of Paonia, Colorado, Edwina Pewo of Hammon and Pollie Goodman of Manorville, Minnesota; two adopted sisters Melissa Goodblanket of Clinton & Karen Little Coyote of Seiling. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, two great grandchildren whom she adored and loved with all her heart and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and co-workers.
